The US Node was established 2006, and is currently an active Associate Node within the INCF network.

Summary

The INCF Node of United States focuses on education and making neuroscience resources available. US Node members are involved in building and maintaining the three major web resources: NIF (Neuroscience Information Framework), which provides a searchable federated database of neuroscience resources and ontologies, NITRC (Neuroimaging Informatics Tools and Resources Clearinghouse) which is a source for neuroimaging tools and resources, and CRCNS (Collaborative Research in Computational Neuroscience - Data Sharing), which hosts neuroscience data sets for data sharing.
