Countries

Countries or regions can join as a Governing Member with a Governing Node. This requires a financial contribution, as specified in the INCF Understanding.

The INCF Governing Members set the agenda for global neuroinformatics through representation on the Governing Board. Together with the CTSI, the Board defines priorities and target areas for global neuroinformatics and shapes INCF initiatives related to standards, interoperability, data sharing and infrastructure for neuroscience, and takes an active role in defining international neuroinformatics training.

The process of a country joining INCF usually starts with the local community expressing an interest, and the INCF Secretariat can then assist with information materials for approaching funding agencies to secure the membership fee. Please email us if you are interested in starting this process, or if you have questions.
