Support INCF’s mission to push global neuroscience further and faster

27 November 2023

Neurological diseases are the leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of death worldwide, and mental health issues are increasing every year. While neuroscience has made significant progress in the last couple of decades, there is still much to do.

While neuroinformatics, standards, and interoperability perhaps sound far removed from finding cures and treatments to neurological diseases, they are much more connected than commonly perceived: a major barrier to progress in neuroscience research is that it’s time-consuming and expensive. One way to remedy this is through the reuse and pooling of data and sharing of tools, which speeds discovery and increases sensitivity to the subtleties of brain function and disease. It also increases the return on investment of research funding. INCF has been working to facilitate data sharing in neuroscience since 2005 by supporting community-driven standardization and interoperability efforts, and ensuring impact through training and advocacy activities.

Your contribution enables us to provide open science resources and training activities to the global neuroscience community, ultimately accelerating the pace of scientific discovery. Your support helps us to better facilitate collaborations and enhance the accessibility of invaluable data for researchers worldwide in order to move neuroscience further and faster at a smaller cost.

You can support our efforts in several ways:

  • make a donation
  • sign up as a member (individuals, academic and non-profit groups, and companies)
  • sponsor others’ memberships
  • champion specific efforts with ongoing support: please contact info@incf.org with your enquiry and we will be happy to work with you

Thank you for supporting INCF and open neuroscience!
