KCNI Summer Academy 2023 In-Person Project Week

30 May 2023

The Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics (KCNI) is offering their second annual in-person project week! During the project week, trainees will learn hands-on techniques for integrating multi-scale neuroscience data. Altogether, up to 30 trainees will join KCNI in person, full-time, to engage with cutting-edge neuroinformatics methods, with support from our KCNI scientists and teaching assistants. Throughout the week, KCNI leaders will incorporate “lunch and learn” workshops to introduce learners to some of KCNI's central values, including reproducible science, ethics and fairness, and clinical integration. The call for applications for the in-person project week is now open and will close on June 2nd, 2023. For more information and to apply, see: KCNI Summer Academy 2023 Project Week.

KCNI is a member organization of the Ontario Neuroinformatics Consortium (ONiC), which is itself a member of INCF. From training neuroscientists on single-cell electrophysiological measurements, to genomic and transcriptomic analyses, to building whole-brain models, KCNI consistently offers high-quality training, workshops, and resources for those in neuroinformatics. Of particular interest for INCF, KCNI also has a culture of emphasizing the importance of FAIR science principles throughout the lifecycle of neuroinformatic investigations, which will enable future generations of researchers to more effectively and efficiently build upon existing bodies of work.
