GSoc Mentor Summit, Munich, Oct 17-20

INCF Community Engagement officer Malin Sandström has administered INCF’s partition in Google Summer of Code for 6 years, but never visited the yearly GSoC Mentor Summit.

- It was a very useful event, she says. And it was fantastic to meet our students and mentors  in person.

The mentors referred to are Christine Rogers (MCIN/LORIS, Canada), who mentors a tech writer in the pilot year of Google Season of Docs, Julia Huntenburg (MPI, Germany), former student and current mentor, and Arnab Banerjee [Analyst, Global Markets Technology,

Credit Suisse Services AG - Pune, India], former student and current mentor. All were present in Munich.

The INCF group presented a lightning talk on umbrella orgs, and Malin and Christine took part in discussions on how to run and improve next year’s Season of Docs.
