Research focus: My research interests range from biophysically detailed computational models of spinal rhythm generation and cortical associative memory to neural computation principles underlying associative memory, behavior selection, and motor control. A specific focus is simulation of large-scale models on parallel supercomputers. Connectionist models and brain-inspired computation as a tool in machine learning and autonomous systems control is also an interest. I am also leading the computational and modelling platform of Stockholm Brain Instistute (SBI).
