Additional information
This meeting is intended to bring together key researchers working on the physiological background, application, and analysis of resting state functional connectivity data in a very familial and highly interactive setting. The number of attendees will thus be restricted in order to ensure priority to communication on a highly professional level instead of promoting or introducing the phenomenon. During our three day schedule we will focus on physical, physiological, statistical, and psychological implications of r-fMRI and use the forum to define future directions of research.
The sessions are scheduled for three full days. Each day will have a major theme.
- Day 1 will deal with recent advances and methodological issues in resting state data analysis.
- Day 2 will cover the physiological and physiological background of low frequency fluctuations including electrophysiological correlates, the impact of physiological noise and insights from pharmacological challenges.
- Day 3 will focus on applications using resting state fMRI with a specific focus on psychiatric and neurological diseases.
Each day will be broken up into four sessions. Sessions will have an expected mean duration of two hours and will include four to five speakers. A specific emphasis will be made for active discussions during the sessions. Additionally closing sessions at the end of each day will wrap up the main points and allow for future discussions.
