Republic of Korea

The INCF National Node of the Republic of Korea (K-Node) is located at the Brain Science Research Center (BSRC) of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). The Chair and Coordinator is Dr. Dae-shik Kim, who is also Professor of Electrical Engineering at the BSRC. The Node is currently funded by KAIST.
The newly established K-Node aims to be the central playground and facilitator for
all those interested in understanding the structural, functional, and
computational architecture of the brain using neuroinformatics tools and
concepts. A dedicated quad-core high-end server with Gigabit ethernet
connection and scalable RAID is available as the initial hardware backbone of
the K-Node, and a beta-shell of the K-Node is already open to the world: www.neuroinfo.re.kr
